Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat latest callout

Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat was paged for an immediate launch request, to reports of two persons stranded on the rock island at Sidmouth Beach.

On arrival at the beach, the crew found the casualties already ashore and administered first aid. The casualties were further assisted by Beer Coastguard and South Western Ambulance Service.

We would like to remind everyone that when the wind is from the east or south east, strong currents can flow near the rock islands, making swimming potentially dangerous.
