Search for missing person in Branscombe beach area

Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat was tasked to assist Devon & Cornwall Police, Beer Coastguard Rescue Team, Exmouth Coastguard Rescue Team and Rescue 187 Helicopter from St Athan in a search for a missing person in the Branscombe beach area. The crew conducted a shoreline and creeping line search.

The casualty was located by the Coastguard Rescue Team in a critical condition and transferred to hospital by helicopter.

Many thanks to all involved in this challenging multi-agency response. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
